The Popmundo Festival

The Popmundo Festival is the most prestigious event there is in this game. It's the biggest, baddest, battle of the bands where top artists come to compete for a place in Popmundo history.

The Popmundo Festival is arranged on a regular basis by the Ministry of Music and sponsored by the Stjärnblom Memorial foundation in honour of our beloved mayor Melvin Stjärnblom who died tragically as a result of London riots early on in Popmundo history.

The Festival, or competition if you will, is divided up into a qualifying stage and a final stage. The qualifying stage is made up of numerous qualifying competitions in different cities across the globe. To compete in a qualifier all artists must meet certain criteria that separates them from lowly wannabes. The top contenders from these qualifying competitions are then invited to compete in the final which is hosted by a different city each festival.

Although the overall structure of the competition has remained the same throughout history, the exact details on qualifying competitions, entry criteria, etc change from time to time to match the needs of the day.
