Oh gosh, so many things are happening.
Massive shout-out to my Ma and Dad. After the earthquake in Chicago, they decided not to wait and got re-hitched right then and there. My aunt Annabelle was in attendance and video-called me during the nuptials. I am delighted that they finally got their shit together and did it! Seeing them happy makes me happy.
It's all good timing, too, because my Dad is running for Mayor of Chicago. I've been expanding OnlyHams into Chicago for a few years now. It's where I grew up, it's home for me. So it's nice to see them back there - and in my Ma's case, working for me! (Nice twist of irony there)
So proud of my cousin Evie, making her grand supervising editor debut for FEMME magazine with our friend Mica. This month's cover girl is my bestie, Erica!
Anyway, in short, my family is crazy talented, and I am so proud to be part of our little legacy.
