It had been a long time since she had felt so happy, and she was able to cuddle and spoil her daughter before handing her over to her other mothers Aurora and Angela, who had hurriedly arrived to celebrate Princess Rogue's birthday. And soon she was alone again. The toys her daughter had left on the floor made her feel nostalgic, but she knew that her baby would soon be in her arms once again.

She wandered around the house for a brief moment, sighing deeply as she sat down on the sofa. She ran her hands over the upholstery, leaning her head back. With her eyes closed, she had a brief memory of a good time, which she longed for but had no control over. She picked up her cell phone and there was no messages waiting to be answered, perhaps she had been forgotten.

Delilah finally got up from the sofa, reached for her glass of wine and waited for the new year, praying for better days, without much hope of having them.

She whispered to herself.
