"Cold room and she sets me on fire."
Standing in front of the room, Maya observed the elegant furniture, the vastness of the mansion, and fell into a small mental limbo; the sensation of air lacking in her chest, the skin overheating, the lips drying out as she walked outside, in faster and faster steps, unaware that she was now running.
The clothes had been left somewhere along the way, taken off one by one, as bare feet touched the cold floor of a familiar path. That place had become terribly strange, almost empty, with erased memories, torturous recollections, and a multitude of details that kept her trapped in her own world.
Was Maya anxious?
Since when did this feeling start to exist?
Either way, the schedule was full, she wasn't going to think, nor did she want to think, and the smoke from the recently lit joint would make her fly away from there, even though now her feet were wet from sitting at the edge of the indoor pool, staring at the most elegant void in the whole world. It was a system crash, officially.
But what if I, what if I trip?
What if I, what if I fall?
Then am I the monster?
