Decorating the apartment was like running an emotional marathon. Each choice came with a weight: the type of fabric for the sheets, the softness of the light, the silence of the drawers. I wanted everything to be ready; not for control, but for peace. So that, when my body asked for rest, I could offer it a home that would embrace me before I even went to bed.

The living room got a discreet fireplace, the kind that you turn on with a button, because I knew that cold days would require more than blankets: they would require shelter. The appliances were chosen for efficiency, nothing ostentatious, just practicality.

The baby's room... that one brought tears to my eyes. Neutral tones, like sand, ice and caramel, dominate every corner. A delicate changing table, with space for everything. A little horse made of light wood in the corner, as if waiting for the first laughs. And next to the nursing chair, a basket with blankets and books; for me, for us.

Even the pet has its place: a little corner with blankets and snacks, right next to the window, where it can watch the world while it waits for us.

The master bedroom is now a sanctuary. Fluffy pillows, linen blankets, a warm light that lulls the heaviest days. I wanted to transform every inch into comfort. Not for luxury, but for the urgency of taking care of myself, slowing down, being ready.
