👑 Our Tiny Sass Queen
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like touring with a four-year-old who thinks she’s the boss of the world… let me introduce you to Nyra.
She’s got glitter in her veins, sunglasses on before breakfast, and a comeback ready before you finish your sentence. While Nate and I are running soundchecks and rehearsals, Nyra’s out here giving wardrobe notes like, “Mom, that jacket’s cute, but it’s not
stage cute.” I mean—she’s not wrong.
Soul, our sweet 8-year-old, is the thoughtful one. He’s always checking the setlist, helping with gear, and making sure Nyra has her favorite snacks. Nyra? She’s busy negotiating bedtime like it’s a business deal. “I’ll sleep if I get two stories, one song, and a foot massage. Final offer.”
She struts into green rooms like she owns the place, greets crew members with a “Hey babe,” and once told our tour manager, “You need sparkles. Your vibe is too… beige.” We now have glitter stickers on the tour jet fridge.
But beneath the sass is a heart of gold. She hugs hard, dances like nobody’s watching (even when everyone is), and reminds us daily that joy doesn’t have to be quiet. Nyra’s cool isn’t just about attitude—it’s about being unapologetically herself.
So if you hear a tiny voice backstage saying, “Let’s make this fabulous,” that’s Nyra. And trust me, she means it.
