Old Robin came from Turkey back in the days when she was perky
A bass guitar was hanging on her back
She took up with a band who said that she could lend a hand

But she left them all too soon because they couldn't hold a tune

When the mayor he fell down dead and she had to earn her bread

She had finally found her muse when she started playing blues

For 20 years their music brought such glee
So it came as a big shock when old Death did come to knock
And their love passed on into life's history
After playing with Corral, Robin lost all her morale
And death found her on the lonely way
But there's always an encore, 'cos graves aren't for evermore
So back came Robin to sing and dance and play
No longer was she a goner, she was back as Peg-Leg O'Connor
Blindly playing her bass to doting crowds
