Special Lyrics

[I wrote this song after spending an afternoon in Stockholm with Viktor. He never ceases to amaze and inspire me]

He raced across the path of the passing cars
I ran after him and stumbled over the kerb
to where he stood in front of a shop window
There was a row of guitars, all shining and polished.
We looked at each other, I winked at him
And we headed into the shop, I couldn’t help smiling
when I saw him beaming like a child.

[CHORUS]
I feel I can listen to you forever
Magnetic moments, sweets melodies
That are written for you and me
Play that song for me again, love
Play that song for me

"I'd like to hear you play” I said
He studied the guitars, putting a finger up
to his lips in concentration
“What about that one? It has a history.
Full of great stories to tell."
He went up to the guy behind the counter,
who got the guitar down for him.

[CHORUS]

He hung the strap up his shoulder, his
hands moving into position over the strings,
and he began plucking out a few notes.
Slowly, his fingers picked out a melody.
It wasn't anything I had heard before
It was captivating and beautiful,
the notes tripping lightly on the air.

[CHORUS]

His eyes focused on the guitar, his mouth set in concentration.
He looked so...natural. Without even thinking about it,
I took a picture of him. His hand slipped, startled by the flash,
and he looked up. “Hey, have you found what you wanted?"
"I think I have," he answered, looking at me
And at that moment, I knew he wasn't talking about the guitar

He wasn't talking about the guitar... (x2)
