through the gloom i feel near you / please say that you miss me too / the rain pours and messes with my head as you usually do / 'cause now your perfume is through my place and it makes me blue – petrichor, track 7.
after too many years and plenty of postponements, i can finally and gladly announce the release of my twelfth studio album. the "autumn sessions, vol. 1" is the result of a very troubled and complicated year. this piece of work is born from a place of pain, but also relief and healing in the hell i went through.
when i started to write the songs on this record, i was drowned in my sorrow and sadness so i was driven by those feelings and the languid strings from folk rock tunes. i only found some kind of comfort in the 'lonesome nights' locked in my own home and it brought me 'back to those wild days'.
i felt used and then discarded like a piece of land after a 'gold rush', being awake was like torture as the 'dreadful daylight' spared no sympathy on me. it was definitely a 'cold case' but it still hurt me. it isn't easy to let sleeping dogs lie when you are still tied to the life's surprises and 'what a life!'.
the 'petrichor' brought me back all the memories and showed me how bad i missed her, till i learned to follow the stream of 'the river'. then i could comprehend that i deserve something as valuable as 'ivory'. and after the storm, there aren't grey clouds on my 'blue skies' and the cold 'marble floor' no longer feels like home. 'the fall' may be brutal but you get stronger after all.
