Aspiring Producer Dreams

Ever since I picked up my first MIDI controller, I’ve been obsessed with the idea of making music that actually feels. Every beat, every synth line, every vocal chop - I want it to hit like it’s supposed to, not just sound polished. And if there’s one person who defines that feeling for me, it’s Jack Antonoff.

I’ve spent countless nights dissecting Bleachers tracks, analyzing how Jack blends nostalgia with modern energy, how he makes a song feel both personal and universal. It’s insane how someone can craft music that sticks in your soul while still sounding effortless. That’s the dream. That’s the bar.

I know I’m nowhere near where I want to be yet. My mixes are rough, my arrangements sometimes chaotic, but every session brings me closer. Every mistake is just another lesson. I want to get to a point where I’m not just competent, but exceptional - where my music makes people feel something, the way Jack’s does.

It’s not just about copying his style. It’s about capturing that same magic, that sense of connection and excitement, and then adding my own voice on top. One day, I hope to create tracks that inspire others the way Bleachers have inspired me. Until then, it’s late nights, endless loops, and chasing that elusive “perfect sound.”
