Just a Little Experiment (What Could Possibly Go Wrong?)

Hello, dear readers — Dr. Joke Miller here. Yes, that’s my real name. And yes, I’ve heard every version of “You’re quite the joke, Doctor” imaginable. But trust me — the only joke around here is how much caffeine I can survive on.

Today’s experiment started as a simple test in biochemical synthesis… and ended with my lab smelling like toasted marshmallows and a faint hum coming from the fridge. (It’s fine. The fridge hums all the time. Probably.)

Some say I’m a “mad scientist.” I prefer the term enthusiastically curious with poor impulse control. I mean, what’s a little spontaneous combustion between friends? Science is messy, unpredictable, and occasionally sticky. But so is life — and I wouldn’t trade either for anything.

I might not have conquered the mysteries of quantum neurology (yet), but I did discover that lab coats make surprisingly good impromptu nap blankets. Progress!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, something just started bubbling that definitely wasn’t supposed to… and I’m 70% sure that’s a good sign.
