time seemed to fly.
what was that one quote? time waits for no one? the year seemed like it had flown by in a flash, like a dream he had in one of his best nights of sleep. except instead of waking up and being disappointed that none of it was real, he awoke to his husband sleeping soundly beside him - every single time.
he loved him more than he even loved himself or his cars or his career. he knew that when he had married Calisto, he was making a promise to love Cali with every fiber of his being for the rest of his life.
sure, he had been married before, but Calisto was different. Cali was the only one for him. he was warm, sweet, and comforting. he felt like all of the best aspects of being at home and when Jace had to travel for his job, he always wished that he could take Cal with him.
but at least when he came home, he knew his husband would be waiting for him and that Jace could pull him into his arms and bury his face against his blond hair. there was nobody and nothing in the world that compared to him and he would make sure that Cali knew that for the rest of his life.
he deserved nothing less.
