Giving you back to the sea
Somehow, this all feels very surreal. Returning you to the place where we met, on a rare sunny day where you were surfing. It wasn't just the waves that knocked me off my feet, it was you. The memories all come flashing back; only to be swept away by the sea again along with my tears. Watching it carry what is left of you... your bones now transformed back to their original state, sparkling like glitter - much like your eyes did, in the sunlight. My heart beat slow and heavy as I give you back to the sea. Ashes and petals of flowers slip through my fingers like the sands of time.
