Mell) is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and director most known for writing several hits for superstar Drew including
"Mercy",
"BAP" ft. ROXIE, and
"iloveyousomuchimightdie".
Born to musicians, Clark grew up in South Los Angeles loving various music genres including gospel, reggae, and rock. By 13, she was writing her own songs. In high school, she befriended classmate and aspiring singer Drew who began recording vocals for Clark's demos at the West Hollywood recording studio Clark worked at after school. A year later, Drew landed a record deal. While Drew pleaded to have Clark join writing sessions for her debut album, her label refused to let her work with unknown songwriters. However, following the success of her sophomore album and the founding of her own label Sweetzer Records, Drew immediately resumed working with Clark.
in 2023, Clark was named Billboard Songwriter of the Year.
