Route 66 @BFG©

We left Chicago at dawn, Dean's hometown. The city traffic faded away, and within minutes the road straightened out, the landscape shifting to cornfields and small towns that appeared and disappeared. Dean accelerated, the motorcycle responded instantly, and I gripped the seat as the wind whipped against my face.
In St. Louis, we stopped in front of the arch. We took some photos for our Brooklyn catalog, since our boss, Susi, would like to see them, but what caught my attention most was the people passing by: a group of cyclists who waved at us, a family who looked at us curiously. Nothing elaborate, just the sound of the engine and light conversation about the next stop.
We crossed Missouri and the landscape opened up. The Mississippi River could be seen in the distance, shimmering in the sun. In Oklahoma City, the sky turned orange, and we decided to eat at a roadside diner. Dean ordered hamburgers, while D'Angelo and I stared at the map, wondering how many miles we had left to our next destination.
Amarillo welcomes us with its desert and its wind. Dean's motorcycle becomes a black dot in the distance, while the truck slows down, as if trying to absorb every detail of the landscape. We stop at a lookout point and, for a moment, the three of us look at each other with smiles, knowing that it was a great Adventure.
We continued on to Gallup, then Flagstaff. Every curve revealed a new vista: red rocks, vast skies, small towns that looked like they'd been plucked from a postcard. In Pomona, the ocean suddenly appeared. The road ended at the Santa Monica beach. Right now, as the sun set behind the Los Angeles giants, we were there. In collaboration with:
