Fast, loud, and impossible to stop. And the best part? She is in the passenger seat. With her, everything is perfect. One night in Eyrie, lying in bed with my cigar, I asked her to marry me. When I woke up, I just stared at her for minutes. Love has turned me into a man who doesn’t even want to leave the house. And then the big news, she is pregnant. So yes, we are having a wedding and a baby. The old life is parties, gambling, too many bad habits almost gone. Except for the joints we share every night. That stays. It’s ours.

I feel like a good man now. I love my fiancée, we have a baby coming, and I’m successful at my bussiness. It feels like I’ve reached the very edge of what happiness can be. Even flexing my biceps in bed and making her laugh feels like a victory.

We told Pam and the girls immediately started wedding planning. I’ll let them do it their way, because I know this wedding will not be one of those boring ones I’ve been to before. This one will be remembered.
